Note that SVPAL accounts are NOT for commercial purposes. All SVPAL accounts are intended for personal or non-profit uses.

Also note that unlike other low cost Internet services, SVPAL does not place commercial advertising on your personal web site or in your electronic mail. SVPAL does not scan your email and Internet usage to target advertising to you.

Dial-up Internet Service

Our Dial-up Internet Service connects your computer to the Internet. This service has all the features of our Basic Internet Service plus a 56K dial-up connection using V92 modems (the fastest dial-up service available). Take advantage of all the Internet has to offer: graphics, video, audio and more. Subscribe to this service for only $65/year. You can subscribe by printing our individual application form, filling it out, then mailing it to us with your check.

Basic Internet Service

Our Basic Internet Service is for users who already have Internet access, but want a second home on the Internet. Our basic Internet service includes POP/IMAP/SMTP email, personal web site, and telnet/ssh access to our menu system. See our fees page for more details and a comparison of choices. Subscribe for only $40/year. You can subscribe by printing our individual application form, filling it out, then mailing it to us with your check.

Hosted Web Account

SVPAL provides hosted web accounts for non-profit organizations and individuals who want their own presence on the web. A hosted web account provides you with a web site at your domain (e.g. www.yourdomain.org) and allows you to send and receive email with your own domain (e.g. youremail@yourdomain.org). Before ordering a Hosted Web Account you should check the availability of the name you want to register.

A hosted web account includes the features of a basic Internet account (email, telnet, ftp, and pop access) with 80MB of email and web site storage. See our fees page for more details and a comparison of choices. You can subscribe by printing our hosted web account application form, filling it out, then mailing it to us with your check. If you need more than 80MB of web site storage, you may request more with the miscellaneous application form. A hosted web account is $60/year (or $100/year with PPP access).

Email Alias

An email alias allows you to have a second email address without the expense of mailbox account. For only $6/year you can have an email address at SVPAL, that accepts email and forwards it to any other mailbox you have on the Internet. You can subscribe by printing our miscellaneous application form, filling it out, then mailing it to us with your check.

Email List

An email list allows you to maintain a list of subscribers. These "Mailman" email lists allow your users to subscribe/unsubscribe themselves. You can also moderate the list to prevent inappropriate messages from being posted to your subscribers. These lists can be used for discussion areas, or as a convenient way to pass information onto your subscribers. These lists are only $12/year. Access to System and Phone Numbers

System Availability

SVPAL is available 24 hours per day, 7 days per week, with no hourly usage charges. Periodic down times are scheduled for maintenance and system upgrades. Users are limited to 3 hour maximum connect time per session to allow adequate system access for all users.
