Eudora Email SMTP AUTH Setup

  • Enabling SMTP AUTH
  • The following instructions guide you through enabling SMTP AUTH for Eudora version 7 (sponsored/paid versions). The "lite" version does not support SSL. If you are using the "lite" version, you will need to upgrade to the sponsored version. The paid version is no longer available. You may also download the Eudora user manual as well. Alternatively, you might consider switching to Mozilla Thunderbird. You can download the software from SVPAL's download page. SVPAL recommends Thunderbird for your email client.

Follow the instructions for Mozilla Thunderbird if you use that software.

Follow the instructions for Outlook Express if you use that software.

Follow the instructions for Mac Mail if you use that software.

    Enabling SMTP AUTH for Eudora

In this section we enable SMTP AUTH and TLS. SMTP AUTH allows you to prove you are a legitimate subscriber by providing your user name and password when you send email. This prevents outsiders (mostly SPAMmers) from using our servers to send their SPAM messages. TLS encrypts communication between your computer and our mail server. This keeps your password secure and provides some privacy protection for your email messages.

Follow the instructions for Outlook Express if you use that software.

Follow the instructions for Mozilla Thunderbird if you use that software.

Follow the instructions for Mac Mail if you use that software.
